Greek Verse Inscriptions of Cyrenaica. Second Edition in collaboration with Alice Bencivenni, with help from Joyce M. Reynolds and Charlotte Roueché. Bologna: Alma Mater Studiorum Università di Bologna, 2024. ISBN 9788854971370, https://doi.org/10.60760/unibo/igcyrgvcyr2.

The second edition of the Inscriptions of Greek Cyrenaica (IGCyr2) and the Greek Verse Inscriptions of Cyrenaica (GVCyr2) updates two corpora published online in 2017, the first collecting all the inscriptions of Greek Cyrenaica (VII-I centuries BC), the second the Greek metrical texts of all periods (VI BC - VI AD). These new critical editions of the inscriptions of Cyrenaica are part of the international Inscriptions of Libya (InsLib) project. They now include all the inscriptions known up to February 2024 from this area of the ancient Mediterranean world, brought together in a single online and open access publication.

IGCyr2 contains 953 inscriptions, including 41 new entries, 28 of which are previously unpublished. GVCyr2 contains 59 entries, including three new entries, one of which is an unpublished fragment. A large number of new Arabic translations appear for the first time in this edition, new facets are added to the search page, including the typology of verses, and new indices are available and linked to external resources (Heritage Gazetteer of Libya; LGPN). The images have been implemented accordingly and are also available as an autonomous collection – IGCyr | GVCyr Images – in AMS Historica through a brand new platform designed for the creation, preservation and dissemination of digital collections of cultural heritage.
